some advice[edit]

There is a difference between an essay and a WP article. It's not just the sourcing. An encyclopedia article is supposed to present what the sources say in a straightforward manner, not draw conclusions about what is or is not good practice. If a Reliable source, such as a standard textbook, says explicitly that something is standard practice, then you can say so, giving the source--and sometimes a brief quotation of a few words. Most of us find it best to getthe sources together first, and then write the article, rather than the other way round. You also should check what other related articles we have on the topic, and make links to them--it is possible that some of this is already covered.

But we certainly need articles on topics like this, and I wish you success with it. DGG ( talk ) 09:06, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Ajarn Suttathorn.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Pardon the belated response, I've been away for the past days. I tagged the article because sentences such as "The goal of FLR is to achieve..." are considered as advertisement. Although it seems the article isn't for a company, the article would be considered as advertisement regardless. Generally, articles shouldn't contain questions as headers as this would also seem advert-like. I suggest visiting Wikipedia:Writing better articles especially the tone section. OK I have removed or modified the above items. Please remove the banner.--Forru (talk) 08:42, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, I believe the article continues to read like an advertisement. Visit Wikipedia:Writing better articles again. Sorry, SwisterTwister talk 23:36, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In what way ... please be specific. I have read Writing better articles and cannot see how this page remains an "advert". How have the modifications already made not addressed your concerns?--Forru (talk) 14:14, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
