Third party sources[edit]

I'm not sure that the principal of your school counts as an independent third party source - there needs to be clear water between the person making the statement and whatever's been set up. If he approved the group then for notability discussions he counts as a part of that group - there needs to be actual clear water between you and whoever you are citing. The full criterion is "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". Your quoted comment fits none of the above - a sentence isn't significant coverage, a reliable source is something like a book or a newspaper, you only have one source, and he's too close to you to qualify as independent. Talking is what talk pages are for[edit]

So no, not annoying. And we all have to start somewhere. Dealing with the basics, most deletion discussions are closed in a week - and you can recover pages through wp:REFUND or by asking the deleting admin if you find evidence that they are notable that wasn't mentioned in the deletion discussion (either because it didn't exist then or just wasn't mentioned). To pass the deletion review you're going to need something about your club in a couple of local newspapers (high school ones don't count) - it has to be more than a line, has to be not written by one of you, and has to deal with the club itself rather than what the club does (so you can't say that you reviewed something is evidence of notability). If it expands, and later gets the articles I mentioned, that's fine - but "looking to expand" is covered by wp:CRYSTAL as not being enough. Good luck - very few high school clubs are notable by Wikipedia standards (which boil down to "Is someone who doesn't know anyone even peripherally involved ever likely to want to look this up?") and I'll be delighted to see one that is. Hi. I am glad to see you are interested in school articles. I watch and edit a couple thousand of them, but I started with my own alma mater, in Indiana, Hobart High School (Indiana). When I started editing, I did not realize there were rules as to what you could put in different types of articles. The guideline for high school articles is found at WP:SCH/AG. No-one doubts the truthfulness of your additions, they are just not the kind of content that we include. If I can be of any help to you, feel free to drop me a note on my talk page. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Death of Daryl Robinson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
