Hey Flying Penguin. Just wanted to say thanks for your great contributions like The Lions! heqs 13:09, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment on my writing. I also wanted to thank you for your photos. My only concern about the stuff I'm writing is that I don't have any citations, since it mostly comes from my own experience. Unfortunately, I think that counts as original research. AfD Nomination: Kensington Avenue[edit]

An editor has nominated the article Kensington Avenue for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kensington Avenue. Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Kensington Avenue during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. AfD nomination of Alan Waddell[edit]

An editor has nominated Alan Waddell, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alan Waddell and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. new westminster restored mansion[edit]

Hey Penguin,

Change the photo on the New Westminster wikipedia page, please. The house is 7 years old, brand new. There are many mansions in Queen's Park that are restored. It would be nice if you communicated with the owners if you are using a photo of their house. It seems that your photo, or one very like it, has also found its way into a magazine that one might suspect paid for the unauthorized, and again inaccurately identified, photo.

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Viking Burnaby North Secondary.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Viking Burnaby Secondary.JPG. The copy called Image:Viking Burnaby Secondary.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Non-Fair use Rationale for Rct2 magicmountain.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rct2 magicmountain.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Thank you for your cooperation. You may remove or keep the tag after you add the non free rationale. Reply after you add a non-free explanation to your image for non-free. This is a special code how you do it:

{{Non-free use rationale
| Description =
| Source =
| Article =
| Portion =
| Low_resolution =
| Purpose =
| Replaceability =
| other_information =
}}

other_information is optional and can be left out.

Copy what's inside this box and click edit this page once you got in to the image page and under the tag, insert it. If you don't know, reply and I will tell you what it is. Thanks. Have a good day. AHLU (talk) 14:44, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Boundary Road (Vancouver/Burnaby) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable road, no sources

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Beecher Park has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems to fail WP:GNG. A search for sources doesn't turn up more than a few local bits. It's also written with an unencyclopedic tone with original research concerning what's currently going on there (or current as of when it was written). Unsourced for more than 13 years.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

File permission problem with File:Kevin williamson vancouver.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kevin williamson vancouver.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. plicit 00:46, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
