Logging[edit]

No, I am not sure about the name. I was wondering if the logging industry was part of the wood products industry? Does it vary in different places? I couldn't say without some research. (which I don't have time for now) I agree about the mindset. Something has to be said. To me it seems that people use logging as a catch all when they mean forest policy. It could be a form of "framing". Don't debate forest policy, debate logging. Regards KAM 02:21, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I have been thinking about changing wood management to forest management. It could have a section about forest policy. Maybe if it was linked to forestry those editors would work on it Almost all my references are New England. I think your edits have been very good. KAM 00:30, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Based on what the term yarder says, it may match the purpose of Clyde Highlead's. You can use the photo in the yarder page if you wish. My sources say that particular skidder was custom made for Marathon Lumber Co. It was customized with a steamboat boiler. I do not know how this affected performance. (Chunkyguy55)
