{{adminhelp}} This is an alternate account, and I will notify a checkuser if needed. One thing I wanted to know if it's possible to claim the EC and Autopatrolled, etc. status from my main account? Fetchie Mankala (talk) 18:14, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:ALTACCN as it outlines how to disclose (including the last paragraph of the section). If you are willing to publicly (ie on your userpage) disclose your main account, we could certainly transfer the user rights to this one, but otherwise it becomes more complicated and unlikely. (Full disclosure: I am not a check-user, but am an administrator and did consult a check user in writing this). --TheSandDoctor Talk 02:55, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks for the reply. I can't publicly disclose my other account. So I guess I'll have to edit around the Wiki until I become EC. How complicated would it become if I just email a check user? Fetchie Mankala (talk) 13:44, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I would recommend following what is stated in the section I linked above. Emailing the disclosure (with the name of the other account) to a checkuser or members of the arbitration committee is the next step. --TheSandDoctor Talk 16:34, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you've done already, but I already know the main account. Please e-mail me the purpose of this account.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:49, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I received your e-mail, thanks. I don't reply to user e-mail, so we'll have to have our discussion in a somewhat disjointed fashion. Normally, the only reason to have an undeclared alternative account is for privacy reasons. It's also not usual to edit the same topic areas; sometimes, the editor abandons the original account, perhaps because of harassment from other editors. What I need to understand from you is why you need two accounts at all and why you specifically need this second account. You've already edited the same topic areas in the few substantive edits you've made, which doesn't look promising. Please be as complete as possible in your answer (another e-mail to me). Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:36, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the second e-mail. I believe I have all I need now. I would like to forward your two e-mail to another CheckUser (who is also an arbitrator) to make sure they don't think there's a problem with what you're doing. Although I don't really need your permission to do this, I'd prefer to know you're okay with that, either here or by another e-mail. I'll wait to hear from you before doing anything further.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:50, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm OK with that. Can you let me know who you are forwarding it to before you do so? Fetchie Mankala (talk) 17:52, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sure: KrakatoaKatie. I'll probably do it sometime later today.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:18, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Are you using two accounts in the same topic area without declaring what your primary account is? Am I reading this correctly? nableezy - 19:57, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am using this second account for all of Wikipedia for certain privacy reasons as allowed under altacct. I most likely will restrict my editing in certain areas since I don't want to waive my privacy or be figured out. Fetchie Mankala (talk) 20:00, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
But the topics in which you are editing with this account are the same or different than the topics your prior account edited in? nableezy - 20:21, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
They could be both. But for now, this account is not EC so I can't edit any ECP article anyway. Fetchie Mankala (talk) 20:23, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
