Welcome...

Hello, Expat128, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

I see that this is belated welcome. Sorry it took us so long! I also see that you are the subject of a Wikipedia article that you have sometimes edited, and that you have made changes to related information on other pages. I sympathize with your desire to avoid letting other people misrepresent you. However, I want you to be aware of WP:Autobiography, Wikipedia's policy-related guideline that discourages writing of autobiographical articles, and the more general guideline on conflicts of interest.

Again, welcome! Orlady (talk) 15:45, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013[edit]

I just restored the original quote as seen in cited source for the second time that you removed from the Donald Spoto page, claiming "to correct a citation". That is not true. This is a WP:COI issue. There are other critics who have said the same thing, so that quote could be expanded on. Certainly this one mention should not be removed. Stop WP:edit warring over this. - Gothicfilm (talk) 10:12, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Expat128. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Danny Kaye, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 17:26, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
