First, if you wish for Murrowcenter (talk · contribs) to be unblocked, you must make your request from that account on that account's talk page. Second, creating a new account while your original account is blocked is block evasion, which is not allowed and will not help your case. Please go back to User talk:Murrowcenter, request to be unblocked, and another admin will review your request shortly. —DoRD (talk) 23:07, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
DoRD, it was only a username block; he's welcome to create a new account, indeed he was encouraged to. It isn't block evasion. --Floquenbeam (talk) 23:16, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hi Ericwilliamh,

Sorry things started out rough. This is an acceptable username. Assuming you're affiliated with the Murrow Center, you should read WP:COI if you haven't already, and be pretty careful in following those guidelines when editing about the Center. But other than that, welcome, and let me know if you need help with anything. --Floquenbeam (talk) 23:18, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In particular, your first attempt at the article appears to have been a copyright infringement, so please don't just re-add it under this new account. --Floquenbeam (talk) 23:21, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Ericwilliamh. You have new messages at Floquenbeam's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Rough start, but take it easy[edit]

I also want to welcome you. Sorry you got off to such a rough start. However, being rude to the admins who dealt with your username and your block is probably not the right way to start. You should probably read WP:CORPNAME to understand why they did what they did - which was correct.

Going forward, try to assume good faith and be mindful of conflicts of influcence. Let me know if I can help. Toddst1 (talk) 00:06, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Murrow Center for Media and Health Promotion, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Re[edit]

First of all, you would do well to tone done the inflammatory rhetoric, such as that on my talkpage. Secondly, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously; we don't mess around with that, and if the removed content was the only content it would have been deleted as a copyright violation. It was copied and pasted directly from the website, which is not allowed. I'm not the greatest expert on copyright (that would be User:Moonriddengirl), but I'd rather err on the side of caution. If it was a mistake, that's fine with me, but I'd rather be castigated for that then not removing something that later turned out to be a copyright violation.
