Sock-puppet[edit]

Sock-puppet for Westminster. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anti-Wspammm (talkcontribs) 12:36, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I do not appreciate being inaccurately labelled as a 'sock-puppet' and the message being left without a signature. My user name makes my identity and purpose clear. As the professionally qualified archivist to Westminster School, with access to the school's historic records, it is appropriate that I improve the accuracy of the Westminster School wikipedia page and other related pages.WestminsterSchoolArchive (talk) 13:07, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The user account which made the accusation was itself a sockpuppet, and has been blocked.
Thank you for declaring your interest. I have noted this at Talk:Westminster School. You should review the guidance at WP:Conflict of interest if you have not done so already.
While your openness is helpful, your user name should not be allowed under Wikipedia's user name policy, as it implies that it may be used by successive post-holders for an organisation rather than an individual. As your edit count is not high, please see WP:Changing username and request a change. Otherwise, this account is liable to be blocked solely because of the user name. – Fayenatic London 13:02, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Westminster School may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
