Meatpuppetry[edit]

As per this sockpuppetry investigation, it appears that the two accounts Eli Toake and BiggsPen are working in coordination. Per WP:MEAT, it's not permitted to recruit outside editors to attempt to influence content disputes. Please be careful not to coordinate your editing with others off-wiki in support of the edits you're making. If this continues, it's likely that your account will be blocked. ~ Rob13Talk 20:40, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User:BU_Rob13, whether you believe it or not, I do not know BiggsPen, and I did not "recruit" this outside editor. I don't know how else to prove myself. BiggsPen made edits to an article that I contributed largely to, by removing a COI tag, which is probably where the suspicion arose, but I would've done that myself with this account, because there's no point in registering another new account to do so, it only raises suspicion. If there's a way to prove it, you can let me know, otherwise I can only state here that this accusation is false. Eli Toake (talk) 04:45, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Per this decision by the Arbitration Committee, several editors with extremely similar editing habits may be considered the same as one editor for the purposes of dispute resolution. Given that BiggsPen exclusively went to articles you edited and removed cleanup notices (among other basic edits), the behavioral evidence is significant enough that it's clear something is going on here. What that something is is less clear. Perhaps someone encouraged you to edit an article and also encouraged someone else, perhaps you mentioned you edited the article to a friend and they decided to "help", etc. Whatever happened, it just can't happen again. ~ Rob13Talk 05:05, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. I have no control over the other user's actions, but since we both received warnings, hopefully this will come to an end. Eli Toake (talk) 11:16, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
