You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Jesse Hamilton. For deliberately introducing falsehoods in the article to serve your political agenda, presumably an agent or other COI of subject of article not wishing to be associated with the Republican party despite clear sourcing. There is vague and purposely misleading language on the Senator Hamilton wikipedia page. It says that he and the IDC "support Republican leadership once elected." However, if you look at the public record you will see that his voting record is very strongly Democratic, including his vote for leadership of the NY Senate. The specific vote that best shows that the public record contradicts this statements was on January 4, 2017, when he voted for Democratic leadership (a.k.a. Temporary President of the State Senate) and NOT for Senator John Flanagan, who won with 32 votes by Senators elected as Republicans versus the 31 votes for Democratic leadership. While the NY Times refers to Senator Hamilton and the IDC as "Rogue Democrats"[1] (whatever that means), he still supports Democrat causes, Democratic legislation, is a member of a 100% Democratic conference, and he's the Secretary of the Kings Country Democratic Party. So what does it mean to say that Sen. Hamilton "support[s] Republican leadership?" I think it is a meaningless description that serves a partisan purpose. What specific vote can anyone point to that supports this statement? And does a selective reading of the NY Times have more credibility than the New York State Senate website, the official public record of Senator Hamilton's actual votes and statements? I would like to thoroughly disprove the statement that I have "deliberately introduc[ed] incorrect information." So please advise me on the best format. - You're willfully misinterpreting the facts to suit your viewpoint. The whole IDC supports Republican leadership in a power-sharing arrangement. That means that they get leadership positions in committees that otherwise only go to the majority party, and Klein gets to be Senate Leader 1A and the "three men in a room" is now "four men in a room". This committee leadership by the majority party aspect is common in almost all legislative bodies in the US, and the fact that the 8 nominal Democrats are caucuses with the GOP in the Senate is the only reason why they have these committee chairmanships. That's what that means. There are hundreds of articles that explicitly state this, we only need to cite one. And an impartial paper of record is a reliable source, whereas your subjective analysis of individual votes is not a valid metric as it relies on your personal viewpoint and inferences about what you think "Democrat causes" and "Democratic legislation" is. - East Flatbush Live I’m questioning your accusation, user:JesseRafe, of me violating the “neutral point of view” by objecting to your phrase “nominal democrat.” Jesse Hamilton is registered member of the Democratic Party and a Secretary of the Kings County Democratic Party. Those two facts are neutral and verifiable- his registration is easily available at the New York State Board of Elections. The use of the phrase “nominal democrat” is value-laden and not fact-based.
