License tagging for Image:Drowning clip.ogg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Drowning clip.ogg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:07, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Allan bates[edit]

The article Allan bates has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 00:29, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of Eyes (again)[edit]

Hey, I'm a huge Pumpkins fan and I have no doubt about Coat of Eyes' existence or anything. It's just that they dont belong on wikipedia, according to wikipedia policy. Forums and website comment posts cannot be used as sources, even if they are recognized by you and I to be "knowledgeable" third party fans, or even the band members themselves. And besides, on principle, early projects of members of later, more memorable bands should not be getting their own articles. Even "The Marked" should probably just be a section under the Billy Corgan article, but there are a lot of sources and articles that discuss the Marked, unlike Coat of Eyes. How's this for a compromise? If Coat of Eyes is truly a precursor to The Marked, I would have no objections to putting a "Coat of Eyes" section on the Marked article. We'd still have to worry about the lack of sources, but it wouldnt need to be deleted. Just my two cents. Unfortunately, I stand by my interpretation that Coat of Eyes should not be its own article at this point. -Werideatdusk33 (talk) 04:52, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yeah, I'd be happy to integrate the Coat of Eyes article into the Marked article. We should still ahve some sources though. For them, and for the Marked. So feel free to add those you mentioned, and we'll leave it to the admin-bots to sort out whether they're valid. --Werideatdusk33 (talk) 05:12, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Eaccess07. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Paul Caravelli, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Paul Caravelli to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Gbawden (talk) 07:07, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Paul Caravelli, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:56, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Caravelli[edit]

Hi Eaccess07, I just wanted to tell you I've removed your draft article from Talk:Paul Caravelli because this is completely the wrong place for an article. The original article has already been speedily deleted because it was wholly inappropriate for Wikipedia.

If you want to rewrite and improve the article and attempt to get it accepted, can I suggest you do this via the Article Wizard and let Articles for Creation reviewers take a look at it first. If you want you can create it in your 'sandbox' first (see link at top of your screen).

From a quick look at the new draft, it wouldn't be accepted in its current form. You need to show Caravelli has been widely talked about in reliable news/book sources. The one news article you have at the moment is the same one that supported your deleted article (and only verified he was a reality TV contestant). Sionk (talk) 12:42, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
