July 2008[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to move Suzanne Gaudet by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at the cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. I will ask an admin to fix. ukexpat (talk) 14:16, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Prince Edward Island is a a collaboration area and open group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of a Prince Edward Island, and organizing some the Wikipedia process regarding PEI articles. As you have created the article Suzanne Birt we thought you may like to join this growing wikiproject. Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 01:27, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Lemonlawcard.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lemonlawcard.gif. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:07, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Barney's Laws[edit]

I have nominated Barney's Laws, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barney's Laws. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 13:52, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Drbn! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Eric Gillis - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Jamie Koe - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

August 2019[edit]

Information icon Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Jimmy Kimmel. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write.
