Feedback[edit]

Hi. Adam is off for a bit due some unexpected medical issues, and I'll be covering his classes. Is there anything I can help you with? Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:17, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources[edit]

Hello. There are a number of issues with the edits you have restored to Third-wave feminism, so I have started a talk page discussion at Talk:Third-wave feminism. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 04:55, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Quick questions[edit]

Hello, DrHeller. I've been paying attention to the class you're teaching this semester, since one of your students picked an article I've been involved with in the past. Specifically the lipstick lesbian article. I had two quick questions:

1) What, if any, article improvement assistance should I give when your student is working on it? For example, once they're adding references, if I notice they aren't formatted properly, is it okay if I fix that? Or should I be completely hands-off with their work?

2) I notice on the course page that you have two different wikilinks for the article, one just being the capitalized one at Lipstick Lesbian. Is there a reason for that being there? Is it okay if I just make that into a redirect link to the proper article at Lipstick lesbian?

I hope your students have a lot of fun with your course and maybe even stay on as Wikipedians in the future! SilverserenC 23:36, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

hello, thanks for all your help! Redirecting to the proper article is fantastic, thank you.
Students have to write a series of research papers on the topic prior to editing, so most revisions are addition of info/citations, or elaborating on existing points based on research. Students must engage with their page for a week after its live so you can message them to make changes or to discuss something. You can also make changes--they monitor any changes made to the page over the week and evaluate if they support the change or want to put it in talk etc. I also look over the page and request some changes be made, but this takes a couple days to get from me to them to the page. Working with editors in various ways is part of what I want them to learn, so please feel free to engage! DrHeller (talk) 23:51, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
