I see that you uploaded an image for the new logo of International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and are claiming it as your own work. Are you asserting that:

  1. You are an employee or contractor who was engaged by IFCJ to design their logo,
  2. your agreement with IFCJ for use of the logo allowed you to retain rights to the logo and to freely license it, and
  3. you have donated it, allowing anybody to use the logo, or components of it, for any purpose, including commercial reuse?

Please reply, especially since paid editors must disclose their paid-editing relationships. —C.Fred (talk) 17:20, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi C. Fred. I am an employee of IFCJ and am uploading its logo on its behalf. radioredhead (talk) 17:22, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And you're authorized to irrevocably donate the logo on its behalf? —C.Fred (talk) 17:26, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I would like it to have the same copyright protections as the prior logo version. I am not trying to donate it, but to update it to the current logo. What process is needed to do this? radioredhead (talk) 17:28, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The file has to be uploaded to the English Wikipedia, not to Commons, and with non-free content criteria. I have already done so; the new logo is at File:International Fellowship of Christians and Jews logo, Feb 2022.png. (And if you'd looked close, you'll also notice I'd uploaded the prior logo file, File:International Fellowship of Christians and Jews Logo, Dec 2020.jpg, as well.)
(Full disclosure: I have a friend who is a former employee of IFCJ, but I consider the situation distant enough that I do not have a conflict of interest with IFCJ. Nonetheless, I'm familiar with the Fellowship and keep an eye on its article.) —C.Fred (talk) 17:49, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Saw your edits to the page. Thank you for your help with this. I will work to not make the same mistake in the future. Thanks. radioredhead (talk) 17:44, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Uploading images, especially images that are not free (like a copyright logo), is one of the trickiest areas on Wikipedia. Even I get WP:NFCC wrong sometimes, and I've been here 15+ years. Glad to be able to help. —C.Fred (talk) 17:49, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
