Sources for Device Bay[edit]

Hello. Good work on Device Bay , and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Can you list in the article any websites, books, or other sources that will allow people to verify the content in Device Bay ? I found the old race program and appears the cars in the photo are from the 1998 meeting. I will edit the title to reflect the correct year. What you saw on "Manos" The Hands of Fate was typical vandalism, and the editor who uploaded and placed the image has been permanently blocked. Mercury articles[edit]

Hello,

Please leave the infobox production dates for the Mercury models as "-present". The autos are still being produced. We've all heard production is scheduled to end, but the infoboxes must represent what has actually happened, not expectations (see WP:CRYSTAL), even if there are good references for those expectations. I'd say that an official announcement on the Mercury website stating that the brand is closing down in 2010 would be about as good a source as you can get and as opposite to crystal balling as you can get. 2010 *is* the present - the dates in these car articles don't go by months. "-2010" can be interpreted as production having already stopped -- which it did not. But even if you were to add "Q4 2010" or such, there is no certainty that any particular model will stop being produced at a specific time. The infobox should contain only definite facts, and "present" is definite. We can inform the reader about the expected end of production by writing about it in one of the paragraphs of the article. --Vossanova ^o< 21:28, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have to pay them for it I'm afraid. That's how I obtained most of my older reports going back to 1991 (which is when VFACTS started the reports). Some data going back to 1990 is also available for free in this document here:

The Shire (TV series)[edit]

Hello, I noticed you created the article on "The Shire". I'm just wondering why you stated that it's broadcast in 1080i HDTV and Dolby 5.1? Blockbuster[edit]

When you have a chance, please read Wikipedia's policies regarding reliable sources. Also take a look at WP:PSTS, which explains the significance of primary, secondary, and tertiary sources. Citing Blockbuster's Australia website is a primary source. While primary sources can be used in a careful manner, Wikipedia generally prefers secondary and tertiary sources. They are one step removed from the subject, and they help show that the information you are trying to add is significant to the article's topic. Per WP:NOT, just because something is factual, it doesn't necessarily need to be on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of all that is true about something. WP:DUE shows that information must hold some significance to the topic, which secondary sources help provide. And finally, the Blockbuster site doesn't explicitly mention the number of stores left. You would actually have to search and count them. That's borderline original research which is not permitted.

Please don't take any of this negatively. If anything, it's to help you understand how you can better contribute to this online encyclopedia. We could use more editors like you to search through articles removing junk and adding significant information to them. The Getting Started help page is great place to start.
