Broads Travel[edit]

The article Broads Travel has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

Speedy deletion of The George Hotel, Lichfield[edit]

A tag has been placed on The George Hotel, Lichfield requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

The sad part is that the hotel itself is notable. That does not allow us to violate the copyright of the author(s) of the article which was cut and pasted into the Wikipedia article. Hi there, just to clarify. The Hotel itself is notable enough to be used in Wikipedia. However, you CANNOT just copy and paste info from another site, that's simply illegal. Feel free to actually write the article in your own words using sources, I'm more than willing to help. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. For example, see the Moor Hall Hotel article that you've contributed to. Compare that article to the official website; the information from there (and other sources) has been re-written as a new article, rather than just copy and pasted. Establishing copyright[edit]

I am sorry about the name of The George Hotel, Lichfield article. I did not even think about the other hotels and i will bear that in mind for future posts.

The word is copyright! See the instructions in Template:Copyviocore. To prevent it looking like a copyvio and to suggest that you are not a spammer, you should thoroughly wikify the text before you post it. If you own the copyright, the only way it can be copied to wikipedia is as follows. Template:Copyviocore states that an e-mail can be used instead, but putting an explicit release on the page in question is far better (and easier).
