Sorry you are having trouble adjusting to the referencing here. I hope you have the patience to stick around and understand it more as you seem knowledgable and eager to help.
The basic idea (in my opinion) of the referencing rules are to avoid having to assess (for example) whether you or Pollack (who did an extensive analysis of ALL Beatles songs) is right based on what you say or what we see you write, but through references to other (supposedly) solid references that have been vetted by some "authority" outside Wikipedia. That it is "obvious" to you may not be enough, especially if there is some (even if dubious) "authority" that has published otherwise. This is not always optimal, but (again, my opinion) is better overall - and is crucial in more contentious areas. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 02:01, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

It is a source that has been used on several Beatles song pages, but could be challenged since I believe it might be "self-published" or, at least, not published through a Publishing company. That said, it is a generally useful analysis. The "Harold Benson, 2013" should be backed up with a similar reference but doubt you have such a thing? What to do. . .
