Generic speedy tag on NewsWatch (American TV program)[edit]

Hi Coffee312 -- Speedy deletion is designed to facilitate the removal of material that falls into a number of frequently encountered problems, and where only limited review by the deleting admin is necessary. The speedy tag shouldn't normally be used without one of the hard-coded rationales; see Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion for the list. Everything that doesn't fit is best sent to AfD. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 00:05, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Espresso Addict -- Thanks for that clarification. I could not find an appropriate hard-coded rationale for this request, which is why I used the generic template along with my reasoning. In this instance, every citation on the page directs to the organization's website, which is a clear violation of WP guidelines. In my mind this was a blatant example for Speedy Deletion but I'm happy to send to AfD. Coffee312 (talk) 14:55, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mostly speedy is for very new articles that are wholly unsuitable for the encyclopedia, and copyright violations with no original version in the history. If there's any doubt at all, or anything that needs any thought/research or where two different admins might reasonably disagree, it's best to go with AfD. That way the deletion, if it occurs, is much less likely to be challenged. Nice to see a fellow coffee fan, by the way! Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 22:17, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

copyright violations[edit]

You introduced a lot of copyright violations to Pennsylvania Paper and Supply Company. It is not enough to cite where you stole someone else's words. You have a responsibility to write content in your own words citing sources. Copying whole sentences from copyrighted material is in violation of policy and the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use.
