BRILLIANT SUPPLEMENTATION!!! LOL!! Let's keep it counthry!! JOD

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Fluorescent Adolescent, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Ballyjamesduff article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. ... discospinster talk 01:02, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for Image:TourDeFlock.jpg[edit]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:TourDeFlock.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ballyjamesduff[edit]

Hi, I see you reinserted the deleted material. The references appear to come from a joke website. In Wiki we need verifiable refs from reliable sources and such a site would not constitute a reliable source. Have you any references to reports of these activities in the local press? (Sarah777 14:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

So...it's all true! My apologies. Should get read of the dead links, they look suspicious. (Sarah777 14:56, 9 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Fight Like Apes[edit]

The article Fight Like Apes has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:48, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

    • None of those sources were in the article you posted. The blogs aren't reliable sources, but RTE is. I've posted the deleted content to your userspace at User:Cm619/Fight Like Apes -- feel free to add the reliable sources and move the article back to the mainspace. Also, it'd be more polite, and you'd probably get better results, if you asked me to restore the article rather than ordering me to. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:07, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Death Cab for Cutie (album)[edit]

You didn't follow all the steps when listing Death Cab for Cutie (album) at Articles for Deletion. I fixed that for you; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Death Cab for Cutie (album). Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 22:36, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An award?[edit]

Give you an award you say? :D Here is one for this edit. --candlewicke 16:16, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Minor Barnstar
For a helpful edit which restored an image to the Fight Like Apes article, a good article nomination at the time. candlewicke 16:16, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Thanks for uploading an album cover. I have to inform you though, that I deleted your version of the cover because it violated our policy on non-free content: Uploaded images should not be larger than necessary in order to aid the reader's understanding of the article (see WP:NFCC#3b). In the future, remember that 300x300 or 500x500 (if the cover has details that can't be identified at a smaller resolution) is usually the right size for an album cover. Also, you will notice that I renamed the file - Unlike with articles, it's preferable to have longer file names if that means that they can be identified easier. Nomination of Be Safe for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Be Safe, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Be Safe until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 04:40, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article The International Tweexcore Underground has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable single, never charted and fails the criteria under WP:NSONG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
