Appalachian English[edit]

Hi. You have big hills/very low mountains in NW Georgia but not "hillbilly talk" -- culturally and linguistically, it's very Southern. The higher elevations are just a lower continuation of the Cumberland Plateau. Rome, Georgia is located in NW, not NE, Georgia and its elevation is lower than that of Atlanta's.

The NE corner of Georgia near the intersection of GA, NC and SC is where you'll find much higher elevations and true hillbilly, not Southern, speech. --A. B. (talk) 19:02, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
