I've made this because there's a bunch of old stuff on my main page. Cashie (talk) 16:23, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ha Eun-Joo, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://hoopedia.nba.com/index.php?title=Ha_Eun-Joo. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Your edit[edit]

Hi Cashie,

CanberraBulldog is right. There have been 2 elected compared with the 2007 election. I know it's a bit of a technicality but as you can see the article says, "Bob Katter, Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott, all independents, were re-elected. Both Katter and Windsor were successful at previous elections, while Oakeshott was elected at the 2008 Lyne by-election. [1] Regards - Cablehorn (talk) 05:02, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Marcii[edit]

Cashie, although you're right that the Marcii are a gens, I think the way you went about the change was procedurally incorrect. In order to retain the page history, you should have moved Marcius (family) to Marcia (gens). (There's an editor who's done a lot with the gentes, working mostly alphabetically, but he's been mostly taking a break and hasn't gotten to the letter M yet — this is User:P Aculeius.) It now looks as if you created the page yourself, when in fact a number of others contributed the material. I don't know how important this is, and will probably ask an administrator's advice.

Also, though Numidicus may have acquired the name after his consulship, there's no reason to delete it in a table, because it distinguishes him from others having the same tria nomina. Broughton deals with this problem by placing the name earned later in parentheses, and since MRR is a or the standard source on the careers of republicans, his should be an authoritative practice to follow. Cynwolfe (talk) 17:49, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, "I've done questionable things" along these lines myself. So I hope it didn't sound as if I wanted an admin to beat up on you. Just wondering whether there's a way to attach the page history. Cynwolfe (talk) 13:24, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote that article from scratch. Of course it can be improved, e.g. section headers, but I don't appreciate the wide-ranging and fairly pejorative {{cleanup}} tag being dumped on it. What parts of the WP:MOS does it fail? Fences&Windows 20:51, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, thanks for the nudge, it should read a bit better now. Sorry for snapping. I'm generally not a fan of the way templates clutter articles (I wish they were subtler and more were placed on talk pages instead), and it's hard not to be protective of articles. I suppose Daejonggyo, which I reworked, also needs attention? Fences&Windows 23:23, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Chiayi City flag.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [2], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. File source problem with File:Nantou flag.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Nantou flag.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:43, 12 January 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sven Manguard Wha? 22:43, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Flags on AFL Squad Templates[edit]

Hi there, thanks for switching the AFL templates over to the RL based one, but the use of flags is generally not done in AFL, as most players obviously are Australian, the state flags at that size mostly look the same, and there is no real "use" for that info, now that State of Origin football appears to be dead. Please discuss it at WT:AFL if you want to try to convince us otherwise. The-Pope (talk) 13:11, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Parramatta Eels logo 2011.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Parramatta Eels logo 2011.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 00:59, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Use of national flags in rugby league articles[edit]

Hi there. The Manual of Style in relation to the use of icons discourages the use of flags in a non-sporting sense:

Flags should never indicate the player's nationality in a non-sporting sense; flags should only indicate the sportsperson's national squad/team or representative nationality.
Where flags are used in a table, it should clearly indicate that the flags represent representative nationality, not legal nationality, if any confusion might arise.

Many of the people you recently gave flags for on the Widnes Vikings page have never played representative rugby league, therefore there is no rationale for including flags next to their names since they technically have no sporting nationality by Wikipedia's guidelines. They also give undue attention to the nationality of players which is irrelevent to their inclusion in a squad, so their use is generally discouraged in general. In addition, Irish players are complex given the Irish national rugby league team can include players from both the Republic of Ireland (whose tricolour flag you included) and Northern Ireland (which is part of the United Kingdom). I am reverting your good faith edits but if you feel I am wrong please don't hessitate to raise the issue at WP:RLT. Many thanks, GW(talk) 16:00, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Use of footnotes in 2011 State of Origin series[edit]

(the following pulled from article discussion)
I see the usefulness of Wiki-formatted footnotes in many other articles but I don't find them entirely effective or necessary in this article. Instead of footnotes shown at the bottom of the page they are easier read below each table. Also player numbers aren't needed since they are almost the same as their respected positions, any changes should be noted below. Narconarco1 (talk) 11:08, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-wiki footnotes are seen in other RL rep articles and from my view are mutually accepted. Wiki footnotes are very helpful elswhere but in my opinion not entirely with this article. Narconarco1 (talk) 13:02, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick FYI. I nominated List of ministers of the ULC as a featured list candidate. Please join the discussion! Me-123567-Me (talk) 15:11, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In Papua New Guinea national rugby league team, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Michael Mark (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
