Welcome!

Hello, Captian Griggs, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as RMS Titanic's iceberg, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

Your contributed article, RMS Titanic's iceberg[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, RMS Titanic's iceberg. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - RMS Titanic. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at RMS Titanic - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Sparthorse (talk) 03:32, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Transformers: Dark of the Moon, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 05:18, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for disruptive editing. You have been warned many times about controversial or unsourced edits. Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and you are not showing any evidence of collaborating. Please start communicating with those who disagree with you, using the talk pages to collaborate when this block lifts. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. Disambiguation link notification for September 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited George Washington Duke (fictional character), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Don King (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:05, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Moving and merging[edit]

You redirected George Washington Duke (fictional character) to George Washington Duke (Rocky V) and in doing so you obfuscated the extensive history of the former. That cannot be; if falls foul of the directions in the GNU Free Documentation License. Please don't do that again; a proper move is the way to go. (I had to delete yours to move the original article to your new title, and then restore your latest version--that's busywork for no good reason.) In addition, when you make such changes, they don't really improve the project unless you improve the actual article, which I'll tag as unreferenced. When in doubt, ask. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 04:59, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Silas (Transformers)[edit]

Hello Captian Griggs,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Silas (Transformers) for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Guðsþegn (talk) 22:23, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Silas (Transformers) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

this is a straight copy of http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Silas. That source is CC-BY-SA, so this is not a copyright violation, but Wikipedia is not Transformers Wiki and does not need to duplicate everything in it. There is no indication that this fictional charcter is notable enough for a Wikipedia article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Robert Balboa Jr. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable character. Article is all plot.

If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. March 2015[edit]

Hello, I'm Doniago. I wanted to let you know that I undid your recent edits to the The Rock (film) plot summary because they added a significant amount of unneeded detail. Please avoid excessive detail and high word counts when editing plot summaries/synopses. You may read the plot summary edit guides to learn more about contributing constructively to plot summaries/synopses. There are also specific guidelines for films, musicals, television episodes, anime/manga, novels and non-fiction books. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- DonIago (talk) 21:11, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
