I had invested a lot of energy[edit]

in that Einar Jonsson article, so thanks for saving it from . . . .. whatever that was that wiped it out. For you efforts you've earned the Thumbs Up Awward. Carptrash 18:39, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, and no problem :-) --Caltas (talk) 19:08, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[edit]

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
I SmileToday, hereby award the user Caltas, the RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar for their incredible efforts in fighting vandalism. SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 20:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a barnstar for your efforts in fighting vandalism. SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 20:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! :-) --Caltas (talk) 20:25, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

I didn't vandalize anything. I merely mistakenly did a "reversion" of somebody else's vandalism. 68.101.130.214 20:32, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

okay, sorry then.--Caltas (talk) 20:35, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal fighting[edit]

I was about to give you the anti-vandalism barnstar for beating me to reverting every vandal edit, but you already have it. You can have this one instead.

The Barnstar of Diligence
I, Bart133, hereby award the user Caltas this barnstar for their tireless efforts in fighting vandalism. Bart133 (t) (c) 21:20, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Change it to another anti-vandalism one instead if you want to. Bart133 (t) (c) 21:20, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That barnstar is fine :-), thanks! --Caltas (talk) 21:24, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Belated thanks[edit]

Thanks for reverting a vandal on my talk page (July 3rd) - you were so quick that I didn't notice it until I checked the history for something else! It was an experience to read it though, I don't think I've been called all of those words before. Not in one sentence, anyway. pablo : ... hablo ... 22:42, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondering[edit]

I've noticed that 72.237.127.28 has been messing around on Wikipedia, committing vandalism randomly. Since you seem to be more aware of Admin intervention policies, should I go ahead and ask for a ban on this IP? Thanks. Elenseel 20:04, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I usually warn vandals three times before I report them to the AIV. 72.237.127.28 has only one page vadalized today, so I would wait, if he continues. --Caltas (talk) 20:09, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Intriguing[edit]

Hello. Wikipedia currently has 1,881,788 articles. How on Earth did you find this article at exactly the time I made the edit, and revert it, all in the space of under 30 seconds?? This felt a little too fast, considering how huge this site is. Btw, I was going to revert myself. What if this prediction comes true? --75.18.8.144 09:44, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just watch the recent changes, and even if he died this day, this would be no reason to write it in the article today. --Caltas (talk) 09:47, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I went to the recent changes and clicked it again a few times. The changes race down the page like a waterfall. How did you notice mine out of all of them? I still think there's some kind of superpower involved that explains your instantaneous abilities here. --75.18.8.144 09:51, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I watch the recent changes with WP:VF, and check as many changes as possible. --Caltas (talk) 09:54, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for helping out on my talkpage. Where the heck are the admins, anyway? There's a huge backlog at AIV. Gscshoyru 12:14, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thanks[edit]

for reverting the vandalism on my talk page, its much appreciated. just hope the admins jump in a bit sooner next time.--Jac16888 12:32, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion[edit]

How can i delete the article? 210.213.145.194 12:21, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want an article to be deleted, you can put either an speedy deletion template on the page (you can find all of them here) or request the deletion here, but please don't blank the page. --Caltas (talk) 12:36, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :)[edit]

Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my user page. It is much appreciated. Given the fact that I don't know anyone in VA, I am not sure why this person seems to have a hate-on for me :) Ccrashh 15:31, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Gastineau[edit]

Hi, unless I'm missing something didn't you (correctly) revert an edit to restore mine then edit again to supersede that, i.e. undoing my work? Sorry if I've got this wrong. bigpad 19:06, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I first thought my revert was wrong, but looking at it again, my second revert was indeed a mistake. Sorry for having restored the vandalism... --Caltas (talk) 19:13, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! user "Talmage" was saying that it can be difficult to distinguish between edits bigpad 19:16, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, I'm in a bit of a struggle against an anonymous user with two IP addresses (70.181.10.95 and 66.210.114.195), which I'm sure are both his/hers, determined to revert to a version that is full of superlatives and which I've had to revert numerous times. I've even edited the article a little to improve the wording But those IP addresses keep changing it back. Can you watch that page too, so that it's not seen as "my" war? Thanks, bigpad 10:11, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shared IP adress[edit]

Sorry, I do share this computer, and I will try to make it not happen again! 23:23, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

--Caltas (talk) 20:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oooooooh! Wie gemein! Soll ich aufhören? ;) :P Streng dich an, dann geht das schon. ;) —DerHexer (Talk) 20:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ich versuch mein Bestes ;-)--Caltas (talk) 20:11, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You[edit]

Thanks for warning 86.13.233.107. He's some guy who don't like me. Anyway, thanks very very much.

You're welcome, happy editing! --Caltas (talk) 18:44, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry,[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to User:Fishyghost. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Caltas (talk) 18:34, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.\

80.42.142.87 Whoops, I wasn't signed in. 80.42.142.87 18:52, 14 July 2007 (UTC) (Fishyghost) Leaving mark. Fishyghost 18:52, 14 July 2007 (UTC) I would have reverted my edits anyway. Fishyghost 19:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fighting games[edit]

The edit you reverted at Fighting game was not vandalism, it was actually the removal of some very unencyclopedic material constantly reposted by a spammer obsessed with the game Kwonho (which I refuse to link to out of spite). Easy mistake, but please read the material before you revert an edit. For the specific problems, see the talk page. JohnnyMrNinja 07:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for reverting this, but almost all similar IP edits are vandalism, especially when nothing is mentioned in the edit summary... --Caltas (talk) 17:22, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No real problem, it was an big unannotated edit, and the guy that keeps spamming it is an IP too. JohnnyMrNinja 18:51, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You![edit]

Vandal fighting[edit]

You're doing an excellent job of vandal fighting. However, when you find someone has been vandalizing, you ought to leave them a warning on their Talk pages, otherwise, if they continue to vandalize, they haven't been warned before, and nobody at WP:AIV will do anything. But keep up the good work! Corvus cornix 21:40, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I try to leave a warning everytime I revert someone (you can see that in my contributions)... sometimes it may happen though, when I revert two articles at once, that I only warn one vandal, but I do my best ;-)--Caltas (talk) 21:55, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome.  :) Corvus cornix 22:03, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Athena, "vandalism"[edit]

I didn't do that "as awesome as jessica" crap on the athena page. I came across it and was trying to fix it, but couldn't get it to save without the jessica crap. Don't yell at me just your system can't log IPs correctly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.99.136.10 (talkcontribs)

Misidentified vandalism[edit]

The edit made by 196.219.158.94 was reverted by you as vandalism, but it clearly was not. A LPG tanker is type of ship (or rail car, or truck), and a newbie's attempt to include it, even without proper formatting, shouldn't be met with anti-vandalism warnings. Remember, assume good faith and don't bite the newcomers. --Xanzzibar 20:31, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An RfA for you[edit]

Hello Caltas,

I have decided to nominate you to become an admin, for contributing to the encyclopledia and tirelessly fighting vandalism. Perhaps would you like to accept it? Please respond on my talk page. Thanks!--Willy, your mate 07:36, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

  1. You reported my ip address had been vandalising the article Miss Havershim, but i have never looked at this page and i'm the only one who uses this computer and have no idea of how to solve this matter. 172.159.68.166 17:53, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Didnt know how to message you so I edited this part of your page. For some reason you reported my IP for vandalising the Martin Luther page. I have also never looked at this page. A simple reset of my router obtains a new IP address from my ISP. Obviously this is what has happened here. Another unhelpful vandalism report, you should be more careful in future and not be so overzealous in reporting people for no reason whatsoever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.215.153 (talk) 15:14, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  3. I am having the same problems as the above mentioned.. I have never visited the article you claim I have vandilized.. I think wikipedia needs to upgrade its system of keeping vandalism logs.

madman91 .. claimed to have been on 71.155.243.162 and vandalizing the article "Yo" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Madman91 (talkcontribs) 21:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Answer to all of you: IP adresses change, therefore it is possible that someone else who had your IP adress vandalized the articles. If this is the case and you really did not vandalize these pages, please just ignore the warnings. --Caltas (talk) 19:58, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
