Hello, and welcome. Please read up on how to use article talk pages at WP:TALK, including adding new sections at the bottom of the page, and indentation.

I've removed your misplaced comment at Talk:Islamic feminism and placed it here instead:

This would be a cool place to add something about the dress cody and how islamic fashion is now on the internet and so influenced by instagram and celebrities. There is a platform in which celebrates their style and culture which has not been adequately studied or reported on. These ideas have not been applied in an academic setting and have yet to touch on how the internet and western society has influenced the dress of islamic feminists and islamic women. In addition, please note that anything "which has not been adequately studied or reported on" is essentially completely off-limits on Wikipedia due to core principles of verifiability and original research, so please don't add anything in that category, as it will likely be challenged and removed. Black Female Filmmakers: I found a new section to post on Ava Duvernay from the United Hemispheres magazine. In it, the article talks about how she is the first black female to receive a budget this large, 100 million dollars to spend on her upcoming movie, A Wrinkle in Time. Her film focuses on representation and promoting a "you can do anything" attitude. She said she was "attracted to the idea of making something outside the work I had made before." On speaking about color she says, It’s been a gross underrepresentation that’s been purposeful and unfortunate, and it’s done damage to the culture and to the generations of people who’ve consumed these stories and believed them—believed that the hero is someone other than themselves. It’s of great importance to equalize these images." On working with Disney, she says they are "wildly supportive" and let her foster the vision she had in mind. She also chose diverse actors to fill her roles including Oprah, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon. On her experience as a black female filmmaker she says, "my road was smooth because as I was building my filmmaking experience, I was doing it on my own terms."

On June 30, 2017, Jay-Z's 4:44 album released on his platform Tidal. Ava DuVernay directed the "Family Feud" Video for the album. <ref> [1] This video depicts a royal family going backward and forward in time, ending with Blue Ivy, Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter in church with Jay-Z composing a new song. DuVernay is able to show family ties, black culture and history, as well as promote a more equal society with women in power.
