Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 16:19, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

vinyl emulation software[edit]

um..why did you put {{hangon}} tag? I marked it db-G6 so admin will delete it and make way for the move...- Unpopular Opinion (talk) 16:32, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ooh, sorry, I didn't get the procedure. I'll remove the tag right now. =/ I'm truly sorry. --Borisln (talk) 16:34, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Article has been moved. - Unpopular Opinion (talk) 01:43, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of "Djing Software"[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, Djing Software, has been proposed for the following reason:

Unreferenced

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 17:17, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't let me the time to improve it, how do you want me to include some references? =/ --Borisln (talk) 17:19, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to let you know that you should probably ignore the AfD, and just work on the article. It'll probably be closed as Keep due to WP:SNOW because you are absolutely right about giving the article a chance. Cheers, DavidWS (contribs) 18:44, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notes to self[edit]

Speedy deletion of MixVibes DVS[edit]

A tag has been placed on MixVibes DVS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. digitalmischief (talk) 10:47, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article MixVibes DVS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable software stub. No claim of notability. One reference since December 2008, to a link-dead website

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
