February 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although we invite everyone to contribute constructively here, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did with this edit to User talk:Hamtechperson. You may wish to read the introduction to editing for more information about Wikipedia. Thank you. Zhang He (talk) 19:13, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is your final warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to User talk:Hamtechperson. Hamtechperson 19:38, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly warning[edit]

I'm not sure of the context, but you seem to be making a lot of accusations against other users, accusations which are not kind or true, in your defense of a blocked user who has behaved badly. If you want to defend that user, you'll do so more effectively if you speak politely, without exaggeration or rudeness. It might be a good idea for you to pause, take a few deep, calm breaths, and ask yourself: "What is my goal? Are my current actions likely to lead to my goal?" It might be an even better idea for you to pause, take a few deep, calm breaths, and disengage with this argument, either by spending some time making the encyclopedia better or by stepping away from the computer until you feel less angry. I would hate for you to be blocked, even temporarily, for words that you might come to regret tomorrow. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:37, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oooh,im shaking in my boots! you are trying to act so self righteouos, and at the same time threatening me with your power.Bolegash (talk) 23:38, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for repeated violations of WP:CIVIL, after several warnings. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:41, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry that you feel this way, and I hope you'll be able to interact with other users more politely tomorrow. For now, though, I think it's necessary to prevent you from continuing to make uncivil edits. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:41, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Polite"?! Hah! I've been politee, and continue to be,I point out a problem with an admin, and you people become irrational.Bolegash (talk) 23:43, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I hope it's not true that you think you've been polite, because if you honestly don't know how to be polite, then it's inevitable that you'll have this problem again, and that the next block will be longer. I hope, though, that you're just exaggerating because you feel strongly, and that really you do know how to be polite, and will be polite tomorrow. To help, I won't make you angrier by engaging in any argument here on your talk page; this is the last edit you'll see here from me, and I hope that none of the users you've disagreed with will continue the disagreement here. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:47, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was polite to you. See,you're still trying to use power to try to frighten me! Bolegash (talk) 23:50, 28 February 2010 (UTC) So predictable. Bolegash (talk) 23:50, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Calling someone self righteous for giving advice on how not to be blocked is not polite. Here's a thought: take a break and come back and re-read other's posts with your name on them, and read your posts with someone else's name on them. Do things seem different? Or try describing what has gone on here to someone else, but switch positions: state that you were the one who was greeted with a message of "Are you wrong in the head" by some other editor, who claimed to be polite while calling the blocking admin self-righteous. Who does that person sympathize with? Ian.thomson (talk) 23:54, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alizee[edit]

I could listen to the record and think this is the iconic definition of synthpop and it doesn't mean a thing in the context of editing a Wikipedia article. Her Website and Itunes are considered personal and promotional websites. What they state may be 100% correct but Wikipedia policy does not consider these type of sites "reliable" and they are not allowed to be used. [1] This link goes to a basic outline of the concepts of verifiability and reliable sources with further links to more detailed explanations. RTL seems like a reliable source. I would use that.
