Scaled Agile Framework[edit]

I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Although the criticisms had one source (good), the claims about the software were not and need independent references. The tools listed seem to be sufficiently non-notable as to lack Wikipedia articles
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include:

The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a software development methodology knowledge base created for implementing agile Presented in a structured, interactive, publicly facing web format... necessary to scale agile from the team, to teams of teams, to the enterprise level... The Scaled Agile Framework is an interactive knowledge base for implementing agile practices at enterprise scale. The Scaled Agile Framework represents one such set of advances.

  • Scaled Agile Framework and SAFe are registered trademarks of Leffingwell, LLC &mdash' not an encyclopaedia's role to protect trademarks

Looking again, I've seen worse than this, and it's already sandboxed. I'll restore, do a bit of formatting, and leave you to sort out the other issues Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:25, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Simple Enterprise Agile, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

H2O Guitars[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you twice added H2O guitars to the List of guitar manufacturers. This list is only for manufacturers that have Wiki articles. This might seem a bit non-inclusive, but the list would be crazy long without this rule. I looked online for info about H2O Guitars and it may be notable enough for an article. The company has a website, and there were a few articles which referred to the company. You may want to consider creating a Wiki article about H2O (see Wikipedia:Article wizard). Check first to be sure the company is notable enough for an article. Good luck. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:29, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for that, I just saw the note on having a Wiki Article. We will be working on taking care of that next week. Thanks! Betchplus (talk) 13:07, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A few months back I wrote the Moniker Guitars article. It may give you a basic outline. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 13:53, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop trying to write about Simple Enterprise Agile[edit]

Hello, Betchplus. I see that you have been running all over Wikipedia, asking a dozen or more people for help with this article, and in particular begging to have your original version restored to you. Your username suggests a possible reason why you are so very, very eager to get this into Wikipedia: the Simple Enterprise Agile system you are trying to promote was developed by Robert R. Betcher. Is that you? or do you have a connection to him? If so you need to read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. You cannot use Wikipedia to promote your own idea, or your own business.

As for the problem you are having with this article: We cannot have an article here unless is has been written about by independent reliable sources. In a search just now I could find NO independent reliable sources for Simple Enterprise Agile. Not a single one. In fact the only references I found online were to you and your quest here at Wikipedia! [1] Please let it go and stop wasting everyone's time. If there are not independent reliable sources writing about it, the system does not qualify for an article here. Not now. Maybe at some future time, after third parties have taken note of it and written about it. But for now, no. And there is no point in trying to "rewrite" or "finish" the article. It won't matter now you rewrite it; if there aren't references to support it, it can't have an article here. Please drop your Simple Enterprise Agile quest and write about some other subject - something that DOES meet Wikipedia guidelines by having independent sourcing. --MelanieN (talk) 14:36, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your input Melanie. There would not have been numerous chats with numerous individuals, if they did not delete the article on many occasions, while leaving very ambiguous responses. While I appreciate your input, there were almost 5 different people that deleted the article, so I had to reach out to each one. I do not profess to be a Wiki Expert, nor did I plan on having to work this diligently on a single post. Please note, the chat history before deciding to reprimand me in a public forum. As far as this article is concerned, it will save IT departments vasts amount of money and headaches, so it is beneficial to many; where I am not looking for anything in return. Thank you for your input, but I am working with individuals who are helping me with this process. Betchplus (talk) 15:33, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just letting you know that user Ronhjones has restored and moved your page to User:Betchplus/Simple_Enterprise_Agile.  NQ  talk 20:04, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm somewhat disappointed that Ron has chosen to overrule his colleagues on this, but since he has, I'll abide by his decision and leave the page undeleted. I take it that you no longer require an emailed copy.
Note, however, that this page will not become a Wikipedia article until it has been entirely rewritten to remove the promotional tone and content and to put it into an encyclopedic voice. You will also need to supply independent references to support its inclusion, though at the time of writing none appear to exist. Yunshui  07:07, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Useful vs Notable[edit]

I know you will appreciate the distinction. Very many celebrities are notable, almost none are useful. The reverse is true of many tools.

The problem Wikipedia has with things which are useful is that it is not a compendium of useful things. Indeed many notable things (celebrities!) are wholly useless, but they have articles because they pass WP:GNG.

There is a trick to getting articles accepted in such a manner that they reman here. The trick is to demonstrate WP:N, never usefulness. Sometimes that means cutting a lot of genuinely useful material from an article to concentrate only on the items that make it notable. For genuinely useful things notability can be found, usually, given time.

We expect people to go to the source for things that are useful but not notable. That also means that an article about Foo has to concentrate on the notability of Foo, with the assumption that folk will be inspired to visit foo.com to discover the heady delights of rolling about in Foo.

It seems to me that you would be wise to read this seemingly trivial post of mine, step back, scratch your head, and digest it.

Wikipedia is not the easy place many believe it to be. Writing articles here is damnably difficult. It;s just simple to edit. Fiddle Faddle 09:09, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
