Orphaned non-free image File:Big c.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Big c.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:32, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Marthap.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Marthap.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:09, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Phil_Dunphy_Promotional_Image.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Phil_Dunphy_Promotional_Image.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 12:53, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Modern Family[edit]

Please stop readding a good article icon on Modern Family. If you want it to be a good article, then put it up for nomination here, but it is already there but not a good article yet. Please be patient. Thanks. -- Matthew RD 18:33, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

May 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Glee (TV series). When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Glee genres[edit]

Several times now you have changed the genres at Glee (TV series),[1][2][3][4] and several times the changes have been reverted. If you really believe the genres are incorrect, it would be wise to discuss this on the article's talk page, rather than simply change them every few days as such edits can be seen to be disruptive. --AussieLegend (talk) 19:28, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Weeds genres[edit]

Please do not removed sourced content without providing a valid explanation. Active Banana (bananaphone 19:07, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What I wrote above applies equally to Weeds, and any other TV program for that matter, as it does to Glee. The changes you made to Weeds were most inappropriate. --AussieLegend (talk) 19:18, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Thebigc.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Thebigc.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. A tag has been placed on File:Thebigc.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thank you for your contribution to The Game (mind game), but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember that Wikipedia is a widely used reference tool, so we have to take what we do here seriously. Disambiguation link notification for March 7[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of directors who won the Academy, BAFTA, DGA, Golden Globe, and Critic's Choice Award for a single film, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American Beauty (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
