Welcome Beatlemania2002!

Hello Beatlemania2002. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions!

I'm Sm8900, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
  Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
  Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
  The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
  How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Dos and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't commit vandalism
  Don't get blocked
If you need further help, you can:
  Ask a question
or you can:
  Get help at the Teahouse
or even:
Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles
  Perform maintenance tasks

Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates
Subscribe and contribute to The Signpost
Translate articles from Wikipedias in other languages

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

Sincerely, Sm8900 (talk) 16:34, 17 May 2022 (UTC)   (Leave me a message)[reply]

May 2022[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kit Connor. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. As I mentioned, please address your concern and get consensus in the talk page. Aviator006 (talk) 19:36, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do not WP:EDIT WAR, as you did with your recent edit to Arthur Sullivan. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:31, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Birth dates in short descriptions[edit]

Please don't add birth dates. Per WP:SHORTDESC, it should be "very brief". Birth date is excessive and not commonly included. Thanks. Sundayclose (talk) 23:28, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edit[edit]

Please do not refer to an edit as a "minor edit" in an edit summary if it is not a minor edit. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. As just one example, this is not a minor edit. If in doubt, don't say it's minor edit. See Help:Minor edit for more information. Sundayclose (talk) 03:00, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please open discussion at Talk:David Crosby instead of reverting again. Valereee (talk) 20:49, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Danny Masterson. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. There is nothing in the article to claim that Masterson has retired from acting. Until there is, he should not be described as a former actor. March 2023[edit]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Nancy Sinatra, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 02:16, 16 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you making such a big deal about this? I’m sorry I feel like I did nothing wrong. I feel like I did something right with my edit. Please let me edit that. You do not have the right to boss me around you are not on charge of this of what I do. I disagree highly with your edit. She retired that makes more sense don’t you think. Lou Costello Producer[edit]

By that standard, "actor" should be deleted, too, since he only "straight acted" in one TV show. He produced two films, and arguably gave his credit in producing the team's TV series to his brother.Plummer (talk) 14:44, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
