Image:JohnstonDiagram NotAandNotB.PNG[edit]

I made a SVG version of Image:JohnstonDiagram NotAandNotB.PNG and called it Image:Not A and Not B.svg. Does the image look correct to you? --Midnightcomm 22:09, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not really: first of all, the SVG version is missing a blue rectangular border. This border represents the universal set, which in turn represents (for Johnston diagrams) the set of all possibilites, i.e. the "set of all possible worlds". In the fifth paragraph of the Johnston diagram article, this universal set and its representative rectangle are explicitly mentioned, so please add a blue rectangular border.
In the other diagrams, the letters A and B are blue in order to match the blue circular boundaries of "sets A and B". If the region outside both A and B but inside the universal set were to become black (as it does in some of the other diagrams), then these black letters would disapper, but if they were blue they would still be visible, so the letters do need to be blue, please.
Then, the region outside both A and B but inside the blue rectangular frame should be white, not colorless, because white represents "possibility", as mentioned explicitly in paragraph four, whereas colorlessness was not assigned any meaning. So, if you make these changes, the SVG version will look correct to me. —AugPi 01:44, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is the image now correct? --Midnightcomm 16:42, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, perfect! And if you want to convert the rest of my Johnston diagrams to SVG, you're welcome to do so. —AugPi 17:43, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for your edits on this article. A thorough cleanup of the article was definitely needed. Cheers, jacoplane 01:01, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Wikipedians[edit]

Hey, i was going through Wikipedia:Missing Wikipedians cleaning it out, checked your contribs and saw that you make a couple edits yesterday. I was wondering if you were back now or if this was just a one-day kind of thing. Hopefully you're back.--Wizardman 00:18, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Libra_constellation_map_visualization.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:54, 10 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 02:54, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:PeaucellierApparatus.PNG[edit]

It would be great if you could move your Image:PeaucellierApparatus.PNG to Commons, because I'm writing an article about this linkage in the German Wikipedia and would like to use it there. Thank you --132.230.1.28 (talk) 09:16, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I succeded to create an account on commons, and created my own version of the Peaucellier linkage So I don't need yours. --132.230.1.28 (talk) 08:18, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

trigi or something[edit]

Hi AugPi,

when I was on holiday with my girl last summer in Spain, some guy said trigi trigi or something like that to me. He was referring to sex. Do you know the exact word I mean? Thanks Mallerd (talk) 14:18, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. —AugPi (talk) 20:19, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unjustified Ban on 65.96.7.45[edit]

A user called AugPi has banned my IP address—5.96.7.45—on Wiktionary and he has reverted changes that I made to the page "quotation mark." The intention of my edit should be clear by my edit description.

If more clarification is needed for my edit, "quotation mark" is not pronounced /ˌpʌŋk.ʧu.ˈei.ʃn̩ maɹks/. I removed the incorrect pronunciation on the page so that someone could add a correct pronunciation.

Here is the complete information for the ban:

Username: 65.96.7.45, IP address: 65.96.7.45, Block ID: 44363

Please unban that IP address. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.96.7.45 (talk) 06:06, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like a mistake on AugPi's part. The ban was for one day, though (so it has by now long ago become unbanned). —AugPi (t) 14:16, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
