Ways to improve Asif Akbar (Film Director)[edit]

Hello, Atiqul Islam Sakib,

Thank you for creating Asif Akbar (Film Director).

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Imdb is not accepted as a reliable source. See WP:IMDB-EL

More sources - are necessary.
Individual sources must be evaluated separately and independently of each other and meet the four criteria below to determine if a source qualifies towards establishing notability.

  1. Contain significant coverage addressing the subject of the article directly and in depth.
  2. Be completely independent of the article subject.
  3. Meet the standard for being a reliable source.
  4. Be a secondary source; primary and tertiary sources do not count towards establishing notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Please remove editing permission for this user.[edit]

This user recently edited the page for Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi somehow, even though the page is edit-protected. They added in information stating that al-Baghdadi was Jewish. They cited three sources, NONE of which stated that Baghdadi was Jewish. This person is likely has an anti-semitic agenda and is pushing a conspiracy theory devoid of credibility. They should not be allowed to add any information on Wikipedia, especially given their past history of disruptive edits.

Wikipedia is one of the last places on the internet that is a space where truth and reason are respected. Please do not let it be hijacked so easily. 73.227.5.162 (talk) 03:40, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Calling anti-semitic someone who's telling the truth is the major weapon for some groups of people and I don’t even care of them. I'm editing Wikipedia, creating and translating since 2018. It's not even a matter. The matter is, All editors have right and power to put informations that they have found from internet and sources. I'm not telling about Al Baghdadi if he's jewish or not but in Internet there are tons of information that Baghdadi was trained under by Mossad and also In recent report of a Israel’s Institution, It is clearly shows that Baghdadi was Jewish. I don’t know if it’s true or not. That's why I have put the Institute's name and the statements of the report were in a pdf file. That's why you all have to download it for your knowledge.

Moreover, Taking away someone's editing rights is also a human rights violation and I think you have violated that. If you like the edit or find it fake then give your opinion about it. Who gave you the right to insult someone as antisemitic? This attitude is also reprehensible. thank you Atiqul Islam Sakib (talk) 10:09, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You added one more source for the 'Baghdadi is Jewish' claim. Still, I see NOTHING in ANY of the sources (yes I have read through your sources) stating that he was Jewish. You have proof that this 'report' shows he was Jewish? Then where is it? Add it to the source list then.

And me complaining about your editing permission and asking for it to be revoked is a human rights violation? Grow up. Seriously? You haven't even had your permission removed. Just some random person on the internet (me) asking for it to be removed is a human rights violation? That is a joke. You must suffer human rights violations every time you're talking to someone in real life and you get interrupted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RoughEndofthePineapple (talkcontribs) 13:16, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you're struggling to understand me. I said before that I don’t know if he's jewish or not but lots of people like edward snowden claimed that he was a jewish and a mossad agent and I've put this information in the sources. I didn’t edit there like "Baghdadi was Jewish", I edited it like " In a recent report".. The report was in a pdf formate and pdf formats can't be added in Wikipedia's source section and that's why I wrote down other sources... I didn’t put anything wrong and It's a disputed statement. Check twitter or any other social apps where a tons people like politicians, journalists etc claiming that Baghdadi was a mossad agent...

And of course you tried to violate human rights. All your words are vindictive. Demanding that my writing permissions be turned off is nothing but stupidy. How many edits have you done so far? What is your contribution to Wikipedia? Your ID is brand new. So it is better to be careful before saying anything. Very few people have the ability to understand this so grow up first. It's better to not to show extremism in this peaceful Journal site. So be aware of it. I hope you'll be ok and will contribute to Wikipedia like prominents! Thank you.

Atiqul Islam Sakib (talk) 16:34, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, the point remains that you can't just assert 'Baghdadi is Jewish' while citing to sources that don't state that fact, and their your defense is 'It was in a report, which I can't cite'. What about citing a source that talks about that supposed report and supports the fact. It doesn't matter whether you are stating 'Baghdadi is Jewish' or 'A report found that Baghdadi was Jewish'. Either way, without citing to an actual source that states that, you can't just argue 'Trust me. I know a report states this. But I won't offer any proof'.
I concede that the sources you cite (while I think they are bad sources) allege that Al-Baghdadi was a Mossad agent. So sure, leave that in for now. But I think you should at least cut out the part which states that he was Jewish, because NONE of the sources state that. Unless you find a source that does. Also, the grammar of your sentence in the article is completely messed up.
Take this for example: Imagine I am going to create an article about myself and write as information that 'I am the head of the UN according to a report from the UN'. But I don't cite that report, nor do I cite a source that discusses that report. Is that believable? I am making up this example to illustrate the illogical nature of stating such a controversial statement without any valid sources that state your viewpoint.
You can choose to express what you express. Perhaps arguing for you to be banned was an emotional and rash response. But the fact remains that the proposition you put into the article is not supported by any source you cited. And it's not going to help your case just because you add more sources unless you finally add at least ONE source that states 'A report states that Baghdadi was Jewish". RoughEndofthePineapple (talk) 18:39, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For instance, you state that 'Edward Snowden claimed that he was [a] Jewish'. You cite this article: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2014/aug/19/blog-posting/edward-snowden-leaked-nsa-documents-show-us-israel/ That article doesn't say anything about Snowden stating that Al-Baghdadi was Jewish. In fact the article reaches this conclusion about the 'al_Baghdadi was a Mossad agent' theory: "Yes, this is a conspiracy theory." The article you cite contradicts your statement, rather than supporting it. RoughEndofthePineapple (talk) 18:47, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at Atiqul Islam Sakib's contributions, they have a history of promoting unsourced fridge conspiracy theories and getting into edit wars when people try to revert their edits. SBA19 (talk) 00:44, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
