Feedback by Julia Schaad:

Your page is extremely well done and contains a lot of useful information on the plant. It is reader friendly through its clear structure and written in an understandable language. So my suggestions concern mostly minor grammar improvements. When I changed your sentences (bullet points), I put the change in brackets.

There are colons in the contents section. I am not sure whether the subsections to cultivation are meant to be in bold.

The first section does not necessarily need a title as ‘Guar’ is already the title of the article and this section is the introduction to the whole thing. In this section:

  • It is assumed to have developed from the African species C. senegalesis and further domesticated in India and Pakistan where it has been cultivated for many centuries [2] (Addition of a period)

Has a minor grammar mistake. My suggestion: It is assumed to have developed from the African species C. senegalesis. It was further domesticated in India and Pakistan, where it has been cultivated for many centuries [2]

Section Biology:

  • Its leaves and stems are mostly hairy, dependent on the cultivar. (dependent on)
  • Its kernel consists of a protein-rich germ (43-46%) and a relatively large endosperm (34-40 %), containing.(consists of)

Section climate requirements:

  • Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research (ACS Publications)

(this I don’t understand. Can it be deleted)

Section soil Requirements:

  • Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) can grow on a wide range of different soil types. (on instead of with)

In cultivation Areas:

  • India where demand for guar for fracking produced an agricultural boom as of 2012

This sentence is not easily understandable. Do you mean for fractionation? And I would say it is an agricultural boom as in 2012.

Section Varieties:

  • Pusa Naubahar and Pusa Sadabahar. (are these the varieties?)

I would say the rest of this text could be integrated in the table with the cultural practices or left out. It does not really mach the title and it contains different information than given in the table above (e.g. no necessity for N fertilization <-> fertilization recommendation) The quote at the end of the section differs from other quotations (by the name given in brackets).

Section Uses:

I would remove the bullet points for Agriculture and Domestic use.

Section Guar gum:

  • This endosperm consists of a very big polysaccharide (big)

I found a few details to improve.

In general: Do not use a colon for the subheadings, because there are also included in the table of content.

Because the title is “guar” I would also use this name for the box with the systematic (not “gavar”)

The title „Guar“ is not required, it will be set automatically

I think the first paragraph should be above the table of content, as an introduction

Climate Requirements: Industrial ... what is this for?

Soil requirements: Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.), the „(L.)“ should not be italic; after salinity there is a space too much.

Cultural Practices: Try to improve this table. is the first row missing? Don’t give the references as the first line of this paragraph, include them to the table. But otherwise I like this table.

Varieties: the text is not matching the title; use subscripts within chemical formula. Button “advanced”.

Guar plant: Agriculture and Domestic use are subheadings, I think they should not be part of the itemisation; Space missing after Vegetable

Guar gum: big instead of bic; The paragraph with “nutrient facts:” could still need a improvement eg. As a table?

Nice use of references! I like the splitting of the chapter "Cultivation”. This article is markedly improved. Best regards Matthias
