Vandalism[edit]

Please don't vandalize articles as you did to List of atheists. It will only lead ultimately to a block and it really is pointless—I reverted your edit literally seconds after you made it.I am posting a welcome template below with some useful links. Please explore. Your first edits won't be held against you if you do productive things later. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:50, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. I will block you if you continue. That second edit vandalizing Weak and strong atheism, lasted all of a minute.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:52, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really know how to use this. Just responding to the message you sent. I apologize for changing the articles...It was just an experiment to see how long it would take for someone to change it back. Me and my friends were always curious. So I have a question, are you employed by Wikipedia to make sure people do not post material that they're not supposed to?

And how did you find out that I changed that article so fast? I'm impressed.

And you also seem really smart. If not employed by Wikipedia, what do you do? Just curious. I'm sorry if I made you mad before. It was all in good fun, but I know kind of disrespectful so I won't do it again. Sorry.Anm33 (talk) 05:19, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We are all unpaid volunteers, who do this for various reasons. Many believe that the world is bettered by a free encyclopedia that already is bigger, and will ultimately be better, more comprehensive, more up to date, less biased, etc., than any reference work in history (most of our featured articles are more comprehensive, better sourced and less biased than anything you'll find written in a paper encylopedia now, and the project's only a few years old). Some do it because it's something of an intellectual MMORPG; it's fun—there are many different reasons. I was able to revert your edits so fast because the articles you first hit is on my watchlist. Most articles are on someone's, and reverting vandalism is as easy as a mouseclick. Thank you for the compliment. I won't reveal very much personal information, but I write for a living.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 05:24, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
