Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Reptomammal, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 18:23, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Concept?[edit]

[copied from talk:Reptomammal] This is probably a fictional notion (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Reptomammal), which I don't think would merit an article here. It could possibly refer to an older scientific concept (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,806964,00.html); if so, please develop and distinguish. Your recent edit to the page Hyena appears to have added incorrect information and has been reverted or removed. All information in this encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable, published source. If you believe the information that you added was correct, please cite the references or sources or before making the changes, discuss them on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for any other tests that you wish to make. Do take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Wolverine. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. JohnInDC (talk) 23:30, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Synapsid. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Alan (talk) 00:07, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Reptomammal, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnInDC (talk) 00:46, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop[edit]

Please stop your single-handed attempt to rewrite the nature of predator mammals on Wikipedia by creating new names and redirects. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia attempting to provide reliable information, not your personal website to express your feelings about various animals. Continuing to disrupt Wikipedia in this manner may get you blocked. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:27, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps the template language is getting in the way, so I'll try to restate it. You are adding content to articles about predatory mammals that is 1) implausible or idiosyncratic in the first place and 2) without any link to any source that supports the claim you are making. You are also creating redirect pages using synonyms that no one has ever used before - indeed they are almost neologisms. Wikipedia is not a collection of information you have created, or knowledge as you might like it, but rather is a compendium of information that is already known. Your edits fail that test. Accordingly your edits are being swiftly removed, and your redirect pages deleted. So long as you continue to introduce this more or less imaginary information into Wikipedia, your edits will continue to be removed; and sooner or later you'll be blocked from editing here altogether. So please stop making edits of that nature! Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 15:06, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Dire cat, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you believe that there is a reason to keep the redirect, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
