Hi Ak1998: Thank you for creating Mette Laursen. However, like the reviewer at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mette Laursen, I don't see enough evidence that she meets our notability guidelines. You created the article without any references; I was only able to find two mentions of her (in articles about a conference) and you have added an article that is really an interview with her on a specific topic. English Wikipedia requires more than that. To have an article here, either she needs to have been the subject of several articles in newspapers, TV segments, or long passages in books (I would say at least two, some would say more), to meet our general notability guideline, or she needs to meet one of the specific guidelines for biography subjects listed at Wikipedia:Notability (people). I don't see how she can meet either of those criteria. This is what the reviewer was trying to tell you; I am sorry they did not think to welcome you here and give you the links above. But creating the article without fixing the problem was not a good idea. I hope you can find a couple of articles about her in the press. Otherwise I think the article needs to be nominated for deletion. I also hope you can understand what I have written here, and the information at the links, because I see that English is not your first language. The basic rules are similar at Danish Wikipedia, where I see you have also created the article (I used that version to fix up the English), but I don't know how strict they are about notability and references; the projects are run separately. If there is anything I have written that you don't understand, feel free to ask me and I will try to explain it more clearly. You may also want to visit the teahouse, which is an informal help location for new editors. Again, welcome here, and I do hope you can find the necessary sources! Thank you[edit]

Hi Yngvadotti: Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate all the input and comment. As you detected, I do not speak English as my first language and did not read enough to be a qualified contributor. I understand I need to add better references. I am working on that at the moment. We are OK with Dansk version only for the time being if the English article is to be deleted. I will try adding more useful info shortly. Ak1998 (talk) 16:40, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

September 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm EuroCarGT. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Mette Laursen, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ///EuroCarGT 01:36, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Ak1998: I looked at the Danish version of the Mette Laursen article again and I see that it only has the same references as the English, and has been templated as possibly non-notable. (I also notice that no one has welcomed you there, for which I am very sorry!) You can't have the page Mette Laursen deleted here on en.wikipedia by blanking it, because you are not the only person who has edited it. (You could, however, ask for the Articles for Creation page to be deleted, since the article now exists anyway.) I am planning to propose it for deletion via Afd at this point, and it is possible that someone in that discussion will find more sources or make a good argument that she meets our notability standards, but it isn't very likely. However, the Danish article may also be nominated for deletion, and even if it doesn't, it will be harder to create a new article on her here on en.wikipedia after it gets deleted because of an AfD; the new article would have to demonstrate notability very clearly from the start. So, can you find any more sources? You are in a better position to search than I am. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:48, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again and let me try harder[edit]

As you pointed out, I need to make improvement for those articles to avoid getting the deleted. If they end up getting deleted, I understand. I will try finding more info to enhance them. Ak1998 (talk) 21:22, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I will nominate the en.wikipedia article for deletion sometime tomorrow. I hope others will be able to help by finding sources. But if you do find any yourself, add them before the discussion ends (it will last a week) and then speak at the discussion saying you have done so. Yngvadottir (talk) 21:26, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the deletion discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mette Laursen. Remember, these almost always run for a full week, sometimes longer, so if you find any useful sources, speak up there! Yngvadottir (talk) 16:28, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Asger Aamund, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Ak1998. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Carita Feliz, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Logical Cowboy (talk) 01:54, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
