Citation for image use[edit]

Hi! I hadn't been t aware I was mis-citing images. I've added several and thought I was doing it correctly on the great bulk of them — but I can go back in and make fixes, and if there's one particular recurring thing, please let me know and I'll rectify it.

I appreciate your taking the time and making the effort to go the adminship page and making this constructive comment. Thanks! --Tenebrae 13:21, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD process[edit]

Thanks for the information on processes. Can you tell me if I have correctly nominated the article at: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2007_May_20#Balji_Nath_Pandit. If I have made further errors in process please advise. Buddhipriya 21:19, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Processes[edit]

"For speedy deletion, the article must have been created within 3 days", posted here. I'd like you to point out exactly where in WP:SPEEDY it says that, because I can't find it. There are some fairly strict criteria for speedy deletion, which the article in question probably doesn't meet, but tenure isn't one of them. Orpheus 00:49, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Speedy Deletion[edit]

There is no limit, but the article must still meet speedy deletion policy just like in normal conditions. Nishkid64 (talk) 22:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most definitely not. I saw Buddhipriya (talk · contribs) tagged it for CSD G11, but that does not apply for this article. The article is written in a NPOV form, in my opinion, and G11 doesn't make sense. I think CSD A7 does not apply here because an assertion of notability (whether or not it complies with WP:BIO is another story) has been made in the article. Nishkid64 (talk) 22:41, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion assertion[edit]

Howdy! I just read an assertion you made on a talk page that articles must be less than 3 days old to be speedy deleted. That's inaccurate, where did you hear that? An article could be on Wikipedia in some corner for years, then speedily deleted if it meets WP:CSD without regard to the creation date. Please review and understand policies before correcting others, bad information is much worse than not saying anything. - CHAIRBOY () 22:38, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of George W. Hough[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on George W. Hough, by Wikthink, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because George W. Hough seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting George W. Hough, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate George W. Hough itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 23:44, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then the article is a hoax, which is not speediable. The article certainly asserts the notability of the subject, playing for one of the top European soccer teams makes you notable, and so is not speediable under A7, even if what it says is wrong. Tag as a hoax, and either prod it or AfD it. J Milburn 22:20, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Ageo020, thanks for your support in my recent RfA, it was, however, unsuccessful. I am not the type of editor to be disheartened by such a result, and have gained much experience. If you have anything to contribute by way of improvements or comments, please don’t hesitate to tell me.

I will run again. Until then, Cheers, Dfrg.msc 08:02, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thank you for your support and comments at my RfA
Hi Ageo020, It still amazes me that otherwise "anonymous" editors take the time to place !votes and comments on RfAs. Whilst I would have normally thanked you at the time of you leaving your message, the importance of my not appearing to be canvassing prevented me from so doing. Now that everything has progressed successfully I can finally thank you. I intend to uphold a style of good adminship and will welcome your further comments at any time in the future, even if they are in the form of admonishment. I will be happy to help as an admin wherever and whenever I can --VS talk 00:12, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks[edit]

Hi Ageo020. Thank you for your support and kind words in my RfA, which passed with 95 support, 1 oppose, and 1 neutral !votes. It means a lot to me to have your individual support and the collective support of so many others. I truly will strive to carry myself at a level representing the trust bestowed in me as I use the mop to address the never-ending drips of discontent in need of caretaker assistance.

My RfA[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA. It was successful, and I am now, may God have mercy on us all, an administrator. Look at all the new buttons! I had heard about 'protect,' 'block user,' and 'delete,' but no one told me about 'kill,' 'eject,' and 'purée.' I appreciate the trust the community has in me, and I'll try hard not to delete the main page or block Jimbo. -FisherQueen (Talk) 18:06, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My recent RfB[edit]

Thank you so much for your participation in my recent RfB. Though it closed with 72% support (below the required 90%), I'm still quite pleased at the outpouring of support shown by a fair percentage of the community.

I'm currently tabulating and calculating all opposing and neutral arguments to help me better address the community's concerns about my abilities as a bureaucrat. If you'd like, you can follow my progress (and/or provide additional suggestions) at User:EVula/admin/RfB notes. Thanks again! EVula // talk // // 04:35, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
