Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page Vidyadhar Gokhale do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Falcon8765 (talk) 23:22, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Vidyadhar Gokhale. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Falcon8765 (talk) 19:00, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is in response to Falcon8765 (talk) 23:22, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[edit]

As I am doing this for the first time, I am not sure this is the right place and method to respond to the message from: Falcon8765 (talk) 23:22, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

My site www.aathavanitli-gani.com is a 100% non-commercial, no-profit site, dedicated to preservation of lyrics of old, memorable Marathi songs. It has only lyrics and does not play any audio. It does not violate any copyrights. I am running this site for almost 7 yrs. In short, this site is not for any personal or commercial gains. You may check this.

Since Wikipedia (English) has specific pages for Marathi poets, composers and singers, etc. it would be complimentary information to know all the details of their work, such as the songs they have written, composed or sung, etc. www.aathavanitli-gani.com is a definitive resource on the web for all Marathi songs and their related information.

Also Wikipedia (Marathi) (http://mr.wikipedia.org) has already thoroughly wetted www.aathavanitli-gani.com and granted access to add links of this nature.

Please feel free to check out the website to verify the claims I have made about and allow me to put external links on related pages of Wikipedia (English).

I repeat this is only for preservation of Marathi language. Thanks and regards, Aathavanitli.gani (talk) 05:11, 23 January 2010 (UTC)Aathavanitli.gani[reply]
