Italian awards[edit]

I made Nastro d'Argento too. Both in Italian and English. But I'm not a registered user on Italian wikipedia. Rohmerin 12:51, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Garance.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Garance.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. M06ff1 10:55, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of Momento (2007)[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Momento (2007), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Momento (2007) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Momento (2007), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Preity Zinta FA[edit]

Hi there. The Preity Zinta article has recently achieved A-class status. Due to the wealth of support I have decided to now nominate for an FA class article which I believe and judging by the comments of others is pretty much up to. In my view it is better than some existing FA actor articles. I would therefore be very grateful if you could give it a final review in your own time and leave your comments and views at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Preity Zinta. Thankyou, your comments are always valuable. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 10:57, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Bellissima poster.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bellissima poster.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:38, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Little Sicily Photograph[edit]

Can you provide more information about how you were able to gain authorization to submit the Little Sicily slum photograph as an image within the public domain if it is from the Chicago Historical Society? Thank you: weez16@aol.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.57.42.122 (talk) 22:24, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's an American photo from before 1923, and therefore falls into the public domain, per United States copyright law. - AKeen (talk) 04:01, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pointe Shoes[edit]

Bonjour Akeen,

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Aparajito.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Aparajito.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:13, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Slightly belated gratz[edit]

Congratulations. Here are what pass for words of wisdom from the puppy:
  1. Remember you will always protect the wrong version.
  2. Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one to do. (See #5)
  3. Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
  4. Use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
  5. Remember when you make these errors, someone will be more than happy to point them out to you in dazzling clarity and descriptive terminology.
  6. and finally, Remember to contact me if you ever need assistance, and I will do what I am able.
