About editing Sequoia sempervirens in particular ---

  1. When I used "controversial" in my edit summary, I meant controversial within Wikipedia --- one of the core tenets of Wikipedia is verifiability. You may wish to read the essay here: Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth.
  2. I was hoping that multiple editors could come to a consensus about whether the Gymnosperm Database is a reliable source, and hence quote the numbers from there. I gave some supporting evidence at Talk:Grogan's Fault
  3. Wikipedia cannot serve as a reference to itself. See WP:CIRCULAR. So I couldn't leave your Grogan's Fault value in that table as it was. I realized that with the disappearance of landmarktrees.net (without leaving any archive), the whole table became unverifiable. I deleted the table and left the wood volume of three trees in the text: Grogan's Fault, Iluvatar, and Lost Monarch. See Talk:Sequoia sempervirens to discuss further.

March 2018[edit]

Hello, 96.39.163.157, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as The Real Luke Skywalker (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. —hike395 (talk) 08:49, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
