Please do not add commentary into articles, discussions are conducted on talk pages[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Electric field. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. RA0808 talkcontribs 20:54, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Helpful hints[edit]

Hi. You seem to be getting some rough handling over your recent edits, and I want to help. I don't think your edits to Electromagnetic field and Magnetism were vandalism; they just didn't comply with the Manual of Style. So here are some things I have done for you:

  • In Electromagnetic field and Magnetism, I moved the Purcell reference into [reading] and formatted it correctly (always put a bullet in front of each citation). I got rid of the Schaum's Outline ref - we can do better than that.
  • In Magnetism, I added back the citation for electromagnets. I don't think a source is needed for the first line of the article, which is repeating information in the body of the article.

Keep on adding sources and don't get discouraged! RockMagnetist(talk) 18:04, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

November 2017[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Lehigh Valley Transit Company has been reverted.
Your edit here to Lehigh Valley Transit Company was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4rLVIB1-IQ) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.
