Hello, I'm Hey man im josh. I noticed that in this edit to Zina, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hey man im josh (talk) 22:17, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted mainly this portion: "Under Islamic laws, rape is not considered to be zina and no punishment falls on the victim."
This is highly misleading, and it contradicts the "Sexuality_in_Islam#Rape" section on the "Sexuality_in_Islam" Wikipedia page. Rape has always been treated as a form of zina, albeit a forced one.
The portion that states "no punishment falls on the victim" is misleading as well, since this only applies in theory; in practice, many cases have shown this not to be the case, and since the discussion is about Pakistan and its laws (in practice), this is not relevant. More importantly, the text makes it seem as though Pakistani law does not agree (as if Pakistani law states that rape victims must be punished) while, in reality, the laws are in agreement, at least in theory: rape victims are not to be punished, but since it is difficult to establish that the victim was raped, this result does not always occur in practice. 71.59.196.190 (talk) 22:39, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Queenofconfusion. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jeffrey Friedman (political scientist), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Queenofconfusion (talk) 07:35, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
