A "corbin" is the archaic form of "corbeau", French for "raven". Therefore, I deleted "beak of the crow" reference as "corneille" is French for "crow". However, according to Randle Cotgrave (1611), "bec de faulcon" (falcon's beak) is another term for the bec de corbin. Cotgrave translates the "bec de corbin" as a pensioner's halberd or poleaxe.
