MAJORITY CARRIER - A semiconductor characteristic. Thair are two types of carriers - electrons and holes. one type of semiconductor material may have more holes than electrons in its lattice structure. In this case the holes are caller the majority carriers and the electrons are called the minority carriers. Aanother type of semiconductor material may have the reverse type of lattice structure. In that case the electrons are the majority carriers and the holes are the minority carriers.

Holes - The space in a semiconductor left vacant by a displaced electron.

HOLE CONDUCTION - The apparent movement of holes between two points in a semiconductor caused by electron movement from one hole to another when a voltage is applied.
