Kate Gosselin[edit]

This is in regard to your rant posted at the talk page for Kate Gosselin.

The reason Kate has her own page and not Jon has nothing to do with who is the "breadwinner" and everything to do with being featured in multiple reliable sources and passing WP:BIO.

All of the information about Jon being "bad" and deserving of his own article all comes from extremely unreliable sources (gossip sites, forums, and such). Those CANNOT be considered verifiable and, thus, he does not get his own page because there is no information to show notability outside of gossip sites.

Kate, on the other hand, has written several books and goes on national tours to talk. She is in plenty of reliable sources (newspapers, journals, etc.) and all of the information can be verified. Thus, she gets her own article because she passes WP:BIO.

Please do not continue to rant on talk pages. Your messages will just be removed. If you want to be productive and offer positive changes to the article, please add comments in a civil manner devoid of hostility. Thanks. --13² 17:59, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
