Mikel San José Dominguez[edit]

A tag has been placed on Mikel San José Dominguez, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Mikel San José Dominguez is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Mikel San José Dominguez saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. The 'Preview' button[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edit(s) to Steven Gerrard, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. --Mosmof (talk) 02:54, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just as a reminder, the "Show preview" button is located to the right of the "Save page" button. Please make use of it. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 23:49, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Couple of issues in Steven Gerrard[edit]

Hi, thanks for your edits in Steven Gerrard. A couple of things I wanted to bring up: First, the stats entered in the infobox at the top of the page only count league stats, and do not include cups, continental tournaments or any other competitions. You can discuss it at WP:FOOTBALL, but for now, please don't change the numbers to include appearances and goals outside the domestic league. Also, per WP:FLAG, flag icons are used when they're absolutely necessary, i.e. in tables where space is limited and country identifications are really needed. In the case of Gerrard, it's more decorative than informative.

Let me know if you have any questions, and please use the Preview button when you edit, rather than make a series of small changes. --Mosmof (talk) 22:55, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please be aware that the player has not played in a professional football match in a recognised league or cup (e.g. premiership or FA cup etc). Thus this article is likely bound for deletion. I'm fully aware that Spearing will probably get a game in one of the competitions with Liverpool but at the moment he does no pass notability requirements. Should the article be deleted you can always request restoration from the deleting admin when he gets a game. I will personally back you up on this.

Also, pay heed to the advice about using the preview button. You seem to make rapid successive edits with minor mistakes in - I'm looking at 120 edits to Liverpool F.C. just today! Try editing the article as a whole with "edit this page" rather than little edits to every section. It makes it hard for other editors to see what you've done and correct things where necessary.

However - thanks for the improvements you've made here! Sillyfolkboy (talk) 21:47, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Liverpool youth players[edit]

Please stop creating articles on Liverpool youth players. They have all been deleted due to them failing the WP:ATHLETE guideline. Cheers, пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:34, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't use slashes for individual footballing seasons. Use hyphens only ("2007-08" instead of "2007/08"). Thanks. sixtynine • speak, I say • 23:47, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roger Federer[edit]

  1. Per WP:YOUTUBE we normally don't link to the site's videos. Especially those not uploaded by the original copyright holder.
  2. Quote sections are frowned upon on Wiki - they belong on Wikiquote.

Main page appearance: Liverpool F.C.[edit]

This is a note to let the main editors of Liverpool F.C. know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on March 15, 2012. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/March 15, 2012. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:

The Shankly Gates at Anfield

Liverpool Football Club is an English Premier League football club based in Liverpool. It has played at its home ground, Anfield, since its founding in 1892. The club has won eighteen League titles, the second most in English football, as well as seven FA Cups and a record eight League Cups. It has also won more European titles than any other English club, with five European Cups, three UEFA Cups and three Super Cups. The most successful period in Liverpool's history was the 1970s and 1980s, when the club won numerous honours both domestically and in Europe. The club's supporters have been involved in two major tragedies: the first was the Heysel Stadium disaster in 1985, in which charging Liverpool fans caused a wall to collapse, killing 39 Juventus supporters. In the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, 96 Liverpool supporters died in a crush against perimeter fencing. Liverpool have long-standing rivalries with city neighbours Everton and with Manchester United. The team has played in an all-red home strip since 1964, and its anthem is "You'll Never Walk Alone". (more...)
