Articles on oldest people[edit]

Hey, just wanted to chime in about your articles. I think the only undeleted articles on oldest people that weren't deleted are Darinka Jandrić and Petar Matić Dule. The latter was not (yet) nominated for deletion as, I believe, his political career is notable enough to deserve an article. The thing with English Wikipedia is that it has much stricter policies on notability and reliable sources than our local Balkan Wikipedias. :P I think it's unfortunate that your writing/translation work that you spent some time on gets deleted in the end, but now you know. -Vipz (talk) 20:06, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No more unnecessary articles about the oldest people, I understood everything and suggested for deletion myself. As for Darinka Jandric's article, I improved as much as I could, it can still be improved.

As for Petr Matić Dulet, he is the LAST LIVING NATIONAL HERO OF YUGOSLAVIA. The article about him is just started, it needs a lot of improvement, also there are many reliable sources. For example, I can list over 20 newspaper articles about him, but I'm not sure that it won't be too many. Also the spelling is a disaster, I translated everything from Wikipedia in the Serbian language. Petar Matić Dule should have an article regardless of age. A lot can be done to improve the article. I will do my best to add a few more sentences and many more sources to his article.Дејан2021 (talk) 11:50, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Nine-Valjalo.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Nine-Valjalo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 07:02, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Minorax, Thanks for noticing, you can delete that image, I uploaded it over a year ago and it was used in her article, however her article has been deleted. I also created her article because she is the oldest person in Croatia ever, but in accordance with the rules on longevity, the article was deleted. Whoever deleted her article forgot to delete the image, feel free to delete it is not used anywhere, the original source is a dead link, the image was probably previously copyrighted, and is now only found in her Gerontology Wiki article (LINK)... You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Oldest people. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Quinlan (talk) 23:46, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you. == And again! DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 19:59, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@User:DerbyCountyinNZ Are you imposing a dictatorship again or what?, I mentioned the source in my edit, that's enough, I don't understand what the problem is, his age is validated by the GRG, that's enough to be listed, another LQ fan, "user: Wwew345t" persistently makes war on edits and undoes my edits for no reason, he is very rude and childish, can a grown and mature person doubt the reliability of GRG, absolutely not. What he demands is completely irrelevant, I demand to respect the Wiki rules about the reliability of sources, and it does not say that GRG is an unreliable source. What the fans are asking is against the Wiki rules, I don't know if you want to follow the Wiki rules or what "Wwew345t" says. Wikipedia is not a place for original research and should be a free encyclopedia, as it has always been and will be.Дејан2021 (talk) 20:41, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23, There is no reason, I cited the source. It is clear enough that Wikipedia is no longer a free encyclopedia. So, I wasn't undoing anyone's edits, but another user was undoing my edits. It is easiest for you to block a user, without taking an interest in what it is about, you are not interested in it and the most important thing for you is that there is no war with changes. That is not a solution. I doubt you even want to solve the problem. Blocking someone won't solve the problem. Also, because of this there is no reason to permanently ban the user, you are knowingly breaking the Wiki rules. It's very sad... Дејан2021 (talk) 05:06, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
