However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Sentinelese[edit]

Hi Galadriel. What source are you using when you say one of the attempts at Onge-Sentinelese communication was made in 1980? If you're looking at a hard copy of the Vishvajit Pandya book, can you provide a page number? -165.234.252.11 (talk) 17:46, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I copied the paragraph, as well as the citation, from Sentinelese_language, because that incident was important not only in a linguistic context, but also in the context of the "contact history" with that people. The reference is on page 362 of the Google books copy, although indeed it doesn't mention anything about "brief and hostile encounters". However it could be found elsewhere in that book.
