The episodes from the thirteenth season of the anime series Naruto: Shippuden are based on Part II of the setting of Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. The episodes are directed by Hayato Date and produced by Studio Pierrot and TV Tokyo.^[1] The season focuses on Naruto finally entering the battlefield of the world war against the criminal organization Akatsuki.

The thirtheenth season began airing on October 4, 2012 on TV Tokyo and is still ongoing.

A and Tsunade appears on Naruto and Bee in attempt to stop their pursuit on the battlefield. Naruto argues to A about the war that protects him and Naruto's desire to support his friends who fights for him. A berates Minato Namikaze and Naruto tells that his father is not a failure. In attempt to flee, A decides to kill Naruto but Bee quickly saves Naruto. Bee asks A as they bump fists why he can't read his soul and recalls their past where Bee pass on a Double Lariat exam. Their bond improves as they go on missions together until one night, Bee's cousin opens up to A about being compatible to Eight Tails and plans to turn Bee into a Jinchuriki of Eight Tails. After the death of Bee's cousin, A and Bee continue their bondage until Bee becomes the Jinchuriki of Eight Tails. Now a fully grown man, Bee along with A encounter Namikaze Minato. A makes his speedy attack however Minato evades and tries to land an attack on A's back but Bee's tentacle quickly saves A. As the Leaf group retreats, Minato compliments Bee's ability. A berates Minato and charges toward him but Minato teleports to Bee's back pointing each other with a weapon.
