I am a creative and multifaceted art historian. I specialize in American and European art after 1945 and my dissertation was about the influence of Maoism on the posters of May 1968 in France, in relation to the rise of television, but I have broad interests and always have several projects ongoing.

This spring I want to build a list of university art museums and galleries in New York State with my students at Alfred University. It occurred to me today also that we might write a definition of what a university art museum is, as there currently isn't one in wikipedia, as far as I can tell.
