Para Normal'nyh or Para Normalnykh (Ukrainian: Пара нормальних, Russian: Пара нормальных) is a popular Ukrainian music band. Despite their Ukrainian origin they're indicated by Russian media as Russian duet[1][2]
Origin of the name[edit]
Para normalnykh means a pair of sane (Russian: нормальных) [persons]. It origins from one of the songs refrain: A few scandal news, me and you, We are a pair of sane [persons] (Russian: «Парочка новостей скандальных, мы с тобой пара нормальных»)
History[edit]
Musicians refused to follow any single style and proudly declared about existence of their own-issued pop-funk-rock-stub-punk-soul-reggae style, which rules and principles they're following untill this very day.[3]
Songs, performed by band have been broadcast on contemporary Ukrainian television series, broadcast by 1+1 and Novyi Kanal channels, such as the Ukrainian version of Star Factory.[3]
Their debut album was released on 4 October 2008. It was named after the main title opening words "I will devise a Happy End" (Russian: «Я придумаю Happy End»). After a year of performing, their songs have appeared on 16 CDs, with total 500.000 CDs released in all countries of Commonwealth of Independent States.[3]
Their first tour across 29 Ukrainian cities was in 2009. They were invited as guest stars on many Ukrainian music festivals.[3] Their songs and clips become popular in Russia, and eventually they were given awards by Muz-TV and Alla Pugacheva.[4]
They played in support of the Viktor Yanukovych for president campaign, in the Ukrainian presidential election, 2010.[5]

Interviews[edit]
Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine during one of their interviews asked Ivan and Anna how did they find each other:
KP: How did you find each other? Who is your songs author? What crazy act you have done? Ivan: You should know that I met Anna on Jamiroquai's concert. We both tryed to get there for free, and just then we understood that we had been search each other all our previous life. On the concert we sung the same songs, then it was revealed that she's have the voice.[6]
On the Jūrmala 2009 New Wave (Russian: Новая Волна) music festival Para Normalnykh was introduced as a 'Russian band'. Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine asked Ivan and Anna during their next interview:
KP: Don't you worry that after you went to Yurmala as a 'Russian band', your fans would be "cooler" to you? Anna: If they are fans - they don't care, under what country flag we are standing. Let's take, for example, the Muse, which is from Great Britain. Or Richard Wagner, who was Hitler's favorite composer. But despite this, whole world listen to his music. Music is apolitical and boundless. Music is feelings.[7]
